The 5 km circular trail around the Haldensee lake in the Tannheimer Tal valley at 1,124 m above sea level (above Adriahöhe) offers a great nature experience at any time of year. Whether it’s a romantic walk around the lake hand in hand in the evening, a short bike ride or a morning jog: the beauty and tranquillity of the lake are your companions.

Swimming & boating during your vacation at Haldensee
The crystal-clear water of Lake Halden is wonderfully refreshing in the summer months with a water temperature of 18-21° C. It is fed by several tributaries.
It is fed by several tributaries and is so pure that it is drinking water quality.
On the eastern shore, you can sunbathe on a public natural beach and enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery.
A boat rental service rents out rowing and pedal boats – and even surfboards – for exploring the 73-hectare lake.
A café invites you to take a coffee break on the shores of the green jewel and a beach volleyball court invites you to play sport and have fun on the lake.
Outdoor pool at Haldensee: free of charge for you!
If you like swimming in a unique mountain setting but prefer warmer water, you will love the “Wasserwelt Haldensee” outdoor pool directly on the Haldensee with its water heated to 26°C using solar power.
With a sports pool, non-swimmers’ area with massage bubbles, a 50 m long water slide and toddlers’ pool.

Lake Haldensee in Tyrol in winter: Ice skating, curling, cross-country skiing
In winter, Lake Haldensee is transformed into an ice sports arena.
As soon as the lake is frozen and open, you can go ice skating (in Haller on the Haldensee), play ice hockey and curling.
Cross-country skiers – who find an award-winning cross-country skiing paradise in the Tannheimer Tal anyway – enjoy the trails on the frozen Haldensee.

One of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Tyrol. A popular excursion destination for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers. Vitalizing bathing pleasures at a maximum temperature of 17 °C. Situated at 1,168 m, up to 47 m deep. Also worth seeing: spruce log forest & waterfall. -
Traualpsee - for summiteers
The Traualpsee at 1,631 meters above sea level is a real high mountain lake. The reward for the strenuous ascent: picture-book scenery & a refreshing dip. -

Naturally not crystal clear like the mountain lakes, but brownish-cloudy, but many swear by the healing powers of the moor water for minor ailments.
